Getting there and back. This is when I towed this year at to the San Juan Scramble; driving strait it is a 6 hour drive from my driveway. Like this it took almost 8hrs. Towing cap on the Grand with 5.2L, coolers, Dana 44 with 3.73's is 6500lbs. Here we are just under 5800lbs and I went from 29in tires on it to 31's with the 2in lift. I don’t care what the cap says, it was maxed. After milling it over and talking it over with JC I decided to go with the trailer instead of flat towing it. It actually handled quite well with very minimal sway.

I did however know pretty quickly when I got much over 60mph. Also a flat tow would have been 2Klbs less?????! This U-haul trailer had the hydro-breaks and I really liked that, every time you even let off the gas you can feel it tug. Coming thru Eisenhower tunnel, on this side, I hydroplaned real bad in thick water and rain, I swear to this day it was the breaks on that trailer that kept us from going out of control (Of course the man was looking out as well, nothing like Devine intervention :-)).
